Interested in mental health? Amala Youth Hopeline offers a unique opportunity for Muslim youth ages 18-35 to offer phone peer counseling and resource referrals to fellow Muslim American youth. Amala Youth Hopeline is a peer counseling support line that gives Muslim youth a safe space to discuss personal challenges, stress, and obstacles in an accessible and confidential manner. As a peer counselor, you will be provided training on counseling skills and background on a variety of issues within the community such as domestic violence, suicide, and effectively supporting all Muslim youth. We believe that all Muslim youth have the right to access culturally competent, confidential counseling and access to necessary resources. We would love to have you as a part of the team! Please complete and submit the application within the deadline and we will contact you for an interview. If you would like to help in other ways, we also need help with marketing (web design and videography would be excellent additional skills), as well as fundraising and outreach!

To volunteer you must:

-Between the ages of 18-25

-Live in the United States

-Be willing to commit to a year of volunteering that consists of three shifts a month, four hours each.

-Be passionate about mental health or helping others

-Have a personal cell phone

-Have access to a laptop during your shifts
